I received my undergraduate degree in sociology from Michigan State University, with honors. In 1984 I received my M.S.W (Masters of Social Work) from Michigan State and graduated first in my class.

I have worked my entire adult life in the mental health field. I have held positions in a wide range of social service and counseling agencies and have been in private practice for 16 years. My private practice has been my sole activity since 2000.

Professional positions I have held in the past include Sexual Abuse Therapist at Family Awareness Center, Staff Therapist at Humana Health Plan, Program Coordinator at American Day Treatment Center and Director of Men’s Services at The Awakening Center.

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
